While in Barcelona, we wanted to explore the Castle of Montjuic, so to get there, we got off the Bus Turistic hop-on, hop-off bus and took the Teleferic-de-Montjuic, a cable car the lifts you from the street level to where the castle is. The view on the way up shows just how dense Barcelona has become, but once you are at the top, it feels like you have all the open space in the world.
The cable cars are slow moving and don't stop for boarding, so be prepared to step on quickly to allow your whole group to load (max of 8 passengers per car).
